A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to invalid addresses under the same domain. For instance, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from mates or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

In case you have a cloud web hosting with us and you wish to enable the catch-all feature for a given email mailbox that you have in your hosting account, it will take literally only one single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to accomplish that. A catch-all button is available on the right side of each email address that you have created under any domain registered in the account. You can choose one single email address per domain name by clicking the corresponding button. This will enable the feature immediately, so all email messages sent to miswritten addresses will be delivered there. Clicking on the button once more will deactivate the catch-all feature. If you’ve got enabled email forwarding, our system will display a warning notice and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature until you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply select a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.
